  3. # Introduction
  4. LCL is Loss-Less Codec for Video For Windows.
  5. Since LCL is a Loss-Less codec, it does not have degradation of quality of image.
  6. LCL is suitable for digital animation or the animation of 3DCGs.
  7. LCL contains two kinds of codecs by the use.
  8.  
  9. AVIzlib: It is the codec of the rate of high compression which used zlib.
  10. AVImszh: It is a codec for digital animation.

  12. # Installation(Windows95/98)
  13. 1 - Right-Click on avizlib.inf or avimszh.
  14. 2 - Choose Install
  15.

  18. 1 - Click on 'Start', 'Settings', 'Control panel'
  19. 2 - Doubleclick on 'Add new hardware'
  20. 3 - Select 'No' not to search for new hardware then click 'Next'
  21. 4 - Select 'Sound, video, and game controllers' then click 'Next'
  22. 5 - Click on 'Have disk'
  23. 6 - Click 'Browse...' then select the avizlib.inf or avimszh.inf
  24. 7 - Click 'OK', 'OK', 'OK'
  25. 8 - Click on 'Finish'

  27. # Installation(WindowsNT4.0)
  28. 1 - Click on 'Start', 'Settings', 'Control panel'
  29. 2 - Doubleclick on 'Multimedia'
  30. 3 - Select 'Devices' tab
  31. 4 - Click on 'Add'
  32. 5 - Select 'Unlisted or Updated Driver' then click 'OK'
  33. 6 - Click 'Browse...' then select the oemsetup.inf
  34. 7 - Click 'OK', 'OK'
  35. 8 - (optional) Click 'New'
  36. 9 - Click on 'OK'

  38. # Seting Menu
  39. A codec is set up by the multimedia in a control panel.

  41. -YUV Enable:        YUV output is enabled.(Default is invalid)
  42. -Invert Height (YUV):    Vertical reversal is carried out compulsorily.(Default is invalid)
  43. -Multi Thread Enable:    Multithread processing is enabled.(Default is invalid)

  46. The following setup can be performed at the time of compression.

  48. -VideoFormat:
  49.   [RGB24,YUV 1:1:1,YUV 4:2:2,YUV 4:1:1,YUV 2:1:1,YUV 4:2:0]
  50.    The video format inside a codec is chosen.
  51.    This setup is applied when the numbers of colors are 24Bits.

  53. -CompressMode:
  54.   [No Compress](AVImszhü@only)
  55.    Compression will not be performed if it checks.
  56.   [HiSpeed, Normal, HiCompress](AVIzlib only)
  57.    A compression algorithm can be chosen.

  60.   [NullFrame]
  61.    When NullFrame was checked and the same picture continues, it changes into NullFrame.
  62.   [Multi Thread]
  63.    MultiThread processing is performed.
  64.   [PNG Filter]
  65.    Use of PNG compatible filter is chosen.
